Trampoline

This was the Main Event at Gremliches house. It was beautiful "spring" weather so we spent a lot of time in the backyard, playing ball and jumping on the trampoline. Here are the kids with Uncle Peter and Maggie dog.

Cove Fort

Driving back to Vegas, we stopped at Cove Fort, a historical site where the church used to give rooms to travelers. It was great for Rychen to see all the rooms, how in the 1800's people did their laundry, bathed in a big basin, cooked over fire, spun yarn, stuffed their mattresses with hay, etc.

Here is a display of the Book of Mormon in several languages (although only a few; there are around 100 translations)

Grandma & Grandpa Merrill

We had fun visiting the Merrills for a couple days. These are my mom's parents. Besides playing in the snow, we also played a lot of Memory, and of course Elisabeth was quick to find the Shape Ball (one of her favorites back home)!

Third Cousins!

This was fun, getting the kids together with Jennifer and Whitney's kids. They are my second cousins I grew up with (the only local relatives, and Jenn my best friend for a few years).

Snow at Grandma Merrill's

In Salt Lake City, the kids got a chance to play in the snow. They both loved it! Elisabeth was thrilled just touching it. Rychen made snowballs and built a mini snowman. Unfortunately, the only shoes I had for Elisabeth were her Robeez, which are horrible snow shoes! And I only had one pair of socks for her, so I had to dry them out several times. Rychen ended up wearing a pair of my own socks too!

Big Chair in Beaver

Many of you are familiar with this chair, I know. It's at a gas station in Beaver, Utah, where I have stopped many times to use the facilities when traveling between Las Vegas (where I grew up) and Salt Lake City (where my extended family is).

Musical Marbles

Here's a toy at my mom's house that Elisabeth loves. You drop a marble through the bird's mouth, and it rolls down, spiraling downward to the bottom. A musical tone sounds with each drop, so you hear high-pitched tones, gradually getting lower and lower as the marble spirals down.

Hello?

I thought this picture was just too funny. Elisabeth is holding a hand-held video game as a telephone. Now she says "Heyyo?"
