Visit to Idaho & Utah

Labor Day weekend we went on a good old fashioned Road Trip to do lots of fun stuff! Friday we hung out with my cousin Marissa and her family in Pocatello, and Saturday Rychen ran the Pocatello Marathon for the 2nd year, beating his time, finishing at 4:08. We were able to find him at miles 21 and 24 to cheer him on before meeting him at the finish line.

Then we drove to Salt Lake where we visited my Grandma Gremlich. She still lives in the same house my dad lived in his entire life, and it was so cool to have my kids enjoy the same toys I used to play with when I was younger and many of which from my dad's childhood too! This first picture is Grandma's matchbox collection, which the kids aren't allowed to play with.

We also visited Rychen's brother, Whitney, and then on to stay at Emily's house for the weekend (Lehi and Eagle Mountain).

Sunday was the traditional monthly Merrill FHE night, aren't we lucky the marathon was scheduled for the day before this? We celebrated memories of Grandma and Grandpa. Here we are, all together.

Monday we hung out with my cousin Eddie and his family. Here are some pictures of the awesome murals and play castle in his basement!
